Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

This page explains how DroidOrbit (droidorbit.com) works behind the scenes: how we write, how we test, how we choose what to cover, and how we handle mistakes and money. We publish it because trust is earned through transparency, not claimed through slogans.

Human-Written and Human-Reviewed

Every article on DroidOrbit is written and reviewed by a member of the DroidOrbit Editorial Team — a real person who tested the product being discussed. We may use AI tools in our own workflow (for example, to organize research notes or brainstorm structure), but no article is published without hands-on testing by a human editor and a human review pass before it goes live.

If an article is ever published with substantive AI-generated draft content, we will say so in the article itself. As a rule, our reviews, comparisons, and recommendations reflect the direct experience and judgment of our editors.

Our Hands-On Testing Methodology

A DroidOrbit review is not a summary of a vendor’s marketing page. Our standard testing process:

  1. Real sign-ups. We create genuine accounts — typically on the free tier or a trial, exactly as a new customer would — and go through the product’s actual onboarding flow.
  2. Realistic tasks. We attempt the jobs the tool claims to do: generating content, connecting integrations, inviting team members, exporting or publishing results, and (importantly) cancelling a subscription to see how the company treats departing customers.
  3. Free-tier and trial focus. Most readers start with a free plan, so we evaluate what the free tier genuinely allows — and where the paywalls actually sit.
  4. Screenshot evidence. Our reviews include screenshots captured during our own testing sessions, showing the real interface, real outputs, and real limitations we encountered.
  5. Dated pricing verification. Software pricing changes constantly. We record the price, billing terms, and feature limits we observed and the date we verified them, and we show that date in the article.
  6. Multiple sessions. We use tools over days, not minutes, because the problems that matter — reliability, support responsiveness, hidden limits — only surface with real use.

How We Select Tools for Review

We choose coverage based on reader interest and editorial judgment, not on who pays us:

  • Tools our readers ask about or search for.
  • New or significantly updated products in the AI and productivity software space.
  • Products making notable claims we think deserve verification.
  • Reader and community suggestions sent to our contact channels.

Vendors may suggest their products for review. Accepting a product for review — or receiving temporary review access — never guarantees coverage, and it never guarantees a positive review.

How We Rate and Compare

Our ratings reflect our editors’ tested experience across consistent criteria: ease of use, feature depth, output quality, value for money, reliability, and customer support. Comparisons are structured around realistic workflows (for example, “which tool is better for a solo freelancer managing client content?”) rather than raw feature counts, because the best tool on paper is not always the best tool in practice.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly and openly:

  • Factual errors (wrong pricing, incorrect feature descriptions, misleading screenshots) are fixed as soon as we verify the correct information.
  • Substantive corrections are noted in the article with the date of the correction, so readers can see what changed.
  • Reader-reported errors sent to contact@droidorbit.com (placeholder — replace before launch) are investigated; if the reader is right, we fix it and thank them.
  • If a product changes after publication (new pricing, removed features), we update the article and refresh the verification date rather than pretending the old information is still current.

DroidOrbit earns revenue through affiliate links to software and SaaS products, and through display advertising. Here is our binding commitment:

  • Affiliate links never influence our ratings, rankings, or recommendations. Our editors do not know — and do not consider — which products carry higher commissions when testing and scoring tools.
  • Vendors cannot pay for better coverage. Paid placements, sponsored reviews presented as independent reviews, and pay-for-ranking arrangements are prohibited.
  • Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labeled as sponsored and kept separate from our independent reviews.
  • Advertising displayed on the site (for example, via Google AdSense) is separate from editorial content. Advertisers do not review, approve, or influence our articles.

Feedback

Our standards only work if readers hold us to them. If you believe an article falls short of this policy — a review that seems thin, a comparison that seems biased, an error we missed — tell us at contact@droidorbit.com (placeholder — replace before launch). We read every message.
